Pukka Herbs was founded in 2001 by Sebastian Pole and Tim Westwell and in the early days Pukka Herbs HQ was Tim's spare bedroom!

Pukka is a Hindi word meaning 'authentic', 'genuine' or 'top quality', and Pukka Herbs aim to offer the best Quality Organic Ayurvedic herbal products.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian philosophy of health and well-being.  It means the 'art of living wisely' and according to Ayurvedic literature, it tells us which substances, qualities and actions are life enhancing and which are not.

Pukka Herbs run an ethical business that respects the relationship between humans and the environment.

Their herbs are ecologically grown from sustainable managed projects that are organically certified by the Soil Association UK.

Manufacturing in the UK is under tight restrictions in accordance with UK medicines standards.
Pukka Herbs are carbon neutral and invest in renewable and sustainable energy projects and reforestation programmes.  They manage an internal recycling scheme and they use recycled paper and vegetable inks when possible.
